BERTH ASSIGNMENT POLICY

Guidelines have been established to provide framework for the fair and equitable assignments of berths in the marina in a consistent and safe manner.

In order to effectively manage the operation of the club and the marina, the responsibility for the assignment of berths rests with the club manager. The manager will consult with Marine Services committee in order to maximize the usage of the marina in a safe and effective manner. Safety will always be the first priority when assigning berths.

For those applying for a new berth assignment, the following factors will be used to establish seniority.

• Total years as a “boat owning” / “senior” member
• Total years as a member of the club (not consecutive years but total years as any class member)
• How long they have been on the waiting list
• When they applied for a berth
