RKYC Racing

The RKYC is an active racing club with a full slate of events from May through to October.
Monday is cruising class and is white sail only (no spinnakers).
Tuesday nights, Junior Sailing take to the racing waters where they practice their skills learned throughout their courses. It is quite something to watch the competition between single handed bytes boats and those with crew.
If you wish to race more competitively, come on out on Wednesday nights. After these races, a social is held in the Club with a video of that night’s race. Each week a different crew hosts the event and a great time is had by all.
Many special weekend races are also held. These include a race to Digby, NS and an Endurance race that sometimes lasts into the night.

On Average:
80 members race on Monday nights
125 members race Wednesday nights
Over 100 compete in the weekend races

At the end of the season a party is held to celebrate the memories with food, drink, trophies and lots of other prizes.
